sep/oct any good for boat fishing?

just had my 1st boat trip cancelled due to strong winds, i,m trying to get another trip sorted out a.s.a.p, is september a good month out of hartlepool sep/ oct time? thanx
 
Like all boat fishing everything is depending on the weather, if we get a good spell then oct should fish well.September is well know as beign a good month for the big ling.Most my biggest ling have came from this month so i feel its true.

Wish for light south or west winds :)
 
I know Tony, well i am on a boat this weekend but its a booze boat mates stag party :) As it stands Dave has no big jobs on for the other weekedn but things can change.
 
Yr not wrong there Marc, we sometimes pull upto the bar for a cold one. :) Nar heading to Amsterdam for a few days..lots of drink and lasses :) Working the last two sundays so i have alot t spend on the .......drink...ermm yer that will do.. on the drink :)

cheers m8 makes me feel a bit better knowing sep/oct are best for ling, my best were both 16 lbs on same day after each drop many years ago, fished with dave and his dad on famous which i rate top knotch out of hartlepool, does he still finish his season boat fishing around now ? anyone know?
 
keithm i think dave will go as long as he has the punters .its my first year fishing with dave hes a nice lad.i think the rough ground off hartlipool is hitty missi this time off year.the boat to on are the wrecking boats off the tyne i fish on the jfk as do a lot of the other lads on this site alan skinner he s your man does midweek trips as well i fish on a wedensday its good crack

Yep Gary...agree again. You can keep your Ling fishing for me....Cod fishing is the game!!
