Well i arrived at Sharpley approx 1.10pm closely followed by paul, set the gear up then went to the lodge for a cuppa and a fag, then it was off to fish, Tried the Alberty and Alice for a while with nothing doing so we went up onto the Cuthbert where paul was soon into a fish, having caught 1 he left to try another lake with the option of coming back onto the cuthbert, i stayed for about half an hour and caught 1 and lost 2 at the net, Got to buy a decent net like.
Anyway i then went onto the Doxford where i had another 1, missed about 4 takes and lost 1, During this time paul was on every lake and i think he caught on every lake, on the noose he seemed to be hammering them.
We went for a coffee and fag, although Paul was on a killing ticket he gave me his 2 for the dogs, his 2nd was a nice fish Paul thought it was arounf 5-6lb and when i weighed it it was just under 5lb, so the dogs actually enjoyed that 1 today

Paul then went off to the hangmans and i went to the Cuthbert where Bob rang me to return my call, was only to ask if he caught any ling as davie and paul wanted some, but by the time Bob knew he had gave the ling away, fishing was relatively poor and slow at that time.
Paul then went for another cuppa but i didnt bother, after he had his cuppa and probably another fag and a chat with davie he grabbed his gear
and off he set in search of more fish to catch
So Paul went on his way , we werent fishing together but we could see each other.
Paul finished his fishing on the noose,with me on the doxy he shouted over to say he was leaving then, i stayed and fished the doxy for another half hour before heading to the Alber & alice
Dont know how many Paul had but it must have been in excess of 20
me i ended the day on 12 fish, lost 7 and had about 10 missed takes, so was pretty eventful day all in all
