she is now where she belongs

Well after what seems a lifetime the boat is eventually now floating in royal quays marina after what at times has felt like one hell of an uphill struggle, still a few small bits of tinkering and adjustments to be made but at last she floats and moves under her own power.

Still need to sort out the steering, new cable is on overnight courier so will be fitting that tomorrow ( steering was a tad to stiff as the original cable had corroded internally ), alternator likewise is on a courier.

Sure you will agree for a boat which was 6 hours old when sunk, it has spent more time in boatyard hoists and cranes than what she has in the water ( well above the water ), she aint looking to bad considering the original damage. Hopefully not long before the maiden testing voyage.

Bugger, forgot to add the pictures.........hope you like them

Your not wrong there Keith, a lot of hard work, but hopefully well worth it

way to go bob, now she's finished, you'll have loads of spare time on your hands, and I happen to know of a lovely leaky old boat that needs work!

Good to see your got her finished, onto the next project now i bet....seen your van at the Royal Quays the other day so thought you may have been finishing her off.

So that's why my boiler hasn't been serviced (and I'm not talking about Lisa)

You just can't help yourself can you Bobly, always something on the go!

As Sparky say's, pity you weren't a joiner, sure he'd have something to keep you busy.

Hope your keeping alright.

Marc

Look forward to see some pics of your first trip!

Great job you,ve done there Bob. Just for the lads that have,nt seen the photo's of the boat when you first got her, why not post before and after shots.
I saw the original shots from when you first got her so I know what a fantastic job you have done.
