can someone tell me the name of this knot? i had someone tie it for me but he doesnt know the name. m replacing new line and would like to find the step by step instruction.

It looks like a spider hitch knot in the main line, as seen here;

Ave always wondered what knot that was!! Just gave it a go and it is quite easy to do !! Just wondering would it work with braid?

Dont see why not but i would use a braid leader rather than a mono leader, I recently changed from the albright to the spider hitch and had no problems at all

You can even slow the tying process down if you wish ! Ive used it loads of times and its spot on.

I found pulling out of snags the albright leader knot always give before anything else and found the spider hitch to be stronger

Yes, You have 2 knots but they are a few inches apart

What knot do you lads use for attaching the Bimini to the leader? I've been using the Yucatan but have had problems with them coming undone after a session or two, probably because the tag end goes through the rings first on the cast...

Slim Beauty for me, been using it for years with or without the Bimini - briefly tried the Yucatan but found it bulky and also had it come apart. I've never had this knot fail & it tapers nicely making it go through the rings smoothly - with the Bimini just substitute the loop for the doubled-over length of line shown in the video.
