the way things are going the pier will be closed to all anglers including lads climbing over at nights,this is the third major incident this year,breaking into the lighthouse and stealing valuable equitment,graffiti painted on the lighthouse walls,throwing lfebelts into the sea,lighting fires in the archways,destroying the bins put there for rubbish,and now this latest incedent which must have happened sunday night as was in place at the xmas fare,thats without all the rubbish the pier attendants have to pick up at the week ends and the three cr/ps in the doorways at the w/e,if you lads who fish at nights want to keep the pier then report anyone or have a word with them who causes any damage,with running b.o.t.a.c. pier matchs and on good terms with port of tyne and pier attendants know they are fed up. you have been warned so do your best to keep pier tidy, thank you. davy

never fished the north been on the south a few times . I knew it was locked at all time members only / yes u can climb over like most but the report said it was under public access so take it they broke in there

Always the few who spoil it for others yet when it comes to them being saved / or drown they would be asking why it was not there
