OK, OK, I know that we're all "rufty tufty" sea anglers.....but you often find that it's those "rufty tufty" types who REALLY feel emotion.....especially when it comes to family, etc.
Following on from the recent "what you listening to" thread, I was wonderin' what songs do it for you....bring that burn to your thoat, that tear in your eye or that uncontrolable runny nose?.......
There are so many I could list which bring me to tears every time I hear them (just a big (well - not so big) softy, really).....and funnilly enough they all have the theme of kids (because I'm a dad, I guess).
This song in particular really gets my throat burning and my eyes streaming.......OK, I know there was a rather crappy version done by Ronan Keating a couple of years ago.....but the words of this song will strike a chord (no pun intended) with all dads (and indeed mams) out there.
Don't pay too much attention to the video - it's a bit naff, but this is the original version of this particular song, as done by Lee Ann Womack:
