phil did it snap when casting, i have one and not had any issues with it, it has been dropped battered against rocks and casting 10oz on it before plus bait. i have heard of them snapping before though.

you would have had more luck if you had gone to the factory iitself and spoke direct to the management they fob you off on the phone, lots of lads have had there rods replaced under the lifetime garantee as long as they have registered them.i was lucky enough to be given one free off charge 4 months before they were in the shops never had a bit of bother with mine over four years and i fish the heaviest of the heavy. davy.

I had a SK3 which snapped about 16" from the tip when bringing a fish in. I spoke to Sonik on the phone then took it to their factory at Blyth & they gave me a new tip section FOC.

Have you had it long? Mine was only 3 months old & I've had no trouble with it since.

Its about a year old snapped reeling in nothing even a plain lead with no rig on cheapof the cheap i would never buy anything sonik its shocking how bad they are compared to others in there price range and even below it

Cheap Chinese rubbish. Same as all the Greys stuff. I have heard this so many times on here, whether it be for the sea or fly rods.

Yes you may be able to get a new tip for £45, but how often do you hear or a Century or Zziplex snapping reeling fish in?! Save up your £45's and buy something decent. These lifetime guarantees are worth nothing.
