Nice early start on the pier , not many there just some regular faces . lots of sand eels about . Lots of coalies being caught around the end but not much else going on . Great to see the dolphins swimming round the bay .One lucky chap out fishing in his kayak had the best view as the seemed all around him .

Nice one James, I heard about the dolphins and the not so many mackerel, I was after a plaice again past first gate, blanked again lol. Loads of shoals of sandeel and sprats was like watching fireworks in the water. Giz a shout sometime your off there early and I'll join ya if I can mate.

Yeah mate, I've tried the 40's, south east corner, brass ball, gate and slab so far. Seems to be my bogy fish, still another 6 odd weeks to try though yet so hopefully will bag 1.

Good luck Mick, my younguns down trying for few for the freezer, and his grampas lunch.

I have done the same mate, been on 40s twice, brass ball, first gate twice and still no Plaice for me.
