Just back from a cracking weekend up in the borders, camping at Coldingham. We had the kids with us so were restricted as to where to fish, and to be honest we found it hard to drag ourselves away from the bbq and the cold beers of the campsite! Friday night we were still in shorts and t shirts at midnight in 20 degrees around the bbq!
Anyway, onto the fishing! We had a couple of half hearted sessions at St. Abbs harbour, fishing from the rocks at the end of the south pier. We only had the spinning rods, but the kids enjoyed themselves catching any amount of mackeral on spinners, all returned bar 2 for supper!

We also tried a bit float fishing in the gulleys, and took quite a few wrasse to about 3 pound on ragworm. We also tried out some rubber/soft plastic ragworm which produced a couple of wrasse.

A nice weekend, with the boys getting a few fish! Happy days!
Heading back up in a couple of weeks, with a view to trying a few marks around the head!
