Hi guys... does St Abbs fish well (or at all) this time of year? was thinking of a trip up for a spot of lure fishing but dont want to waste my time if it doesnt fish..also is it best to fish the rocks low or high tide or does it not matter? any info would be much appreciated..cheers:D
 
Way to early to fish st.abbs mate around bk end of may
onwards .as for tides i fished both high snd low snd have
caught but i hope you have a head for hightlol

we were up there last week.totally crap.went futher up totorness power station, were they were getting bass on lures only small but bass all the same.
 
cheers lads,thought maybe something may take a jelly worm or something...never mind al knock that idea on the head for now.

me and dava used to start at easter if you could get through the coalys you got pollock up to 4lb and went bigger as the summer progressed,you need flat calm seas and warm weather,the way the seas have been this week it would be worth a shot but not if it is raining or the sea lumpy. davy.
 
Went up in the summer with mates there was two cars full ov us and not one person had a fish!dont know what it's like this time ov year like but a would go again as a wouldn't let one session put me off!
 
I spent a week there a couple of years ago in October. We had Pollock, Cod, Dabs, Mackerel, oh and a Sea Scorpian. Do your homework on places to fish, as it can be quite tricky on the rocks.
