stealing sea water

Just thought i would share this with you all, last saturday night i was walking home from the blast beach when i bumped in to a guy in his fiftys did not get his name but he had been fishing the south pier at seaham, he told me to my disbelief that he had been stopped by the police at the hall beach, thinking they were going to pull him for having his car on the prom but the police officer wanted to know why he was stealing sea water and told him to return it as you can imagine he thought he was joking but he was deadly serious so the guy told him that it was for his worms that he uses for bait but the cop would not accept this and told him to put it back the guy said if you want it back in the sea you can do it yourself, I found it hard enough to carry it up and left the 5 gallon drum on the prom wall and drove off in disgust .

I still can not believe it and was wondering if anyone else had come across this ridiculous law or is it acase of the cop been a complete c**t.::mad:
 
Thats unbelievable. I would have had the facist t**ts badge number.:mad:

I would of been straight to the papers as well.
 
I'd of told mr plod not to worry as you'd filled the hole in the water in afterwards so it was undetectable so that if you poured it back in there'd be a noticeable join
 
Must admit I'd have been tempted to say, right then booking me for theft of sea water it is then. :)
 
Before anyone jumps down anyones throat, Andy states he did not get the guys name and no details have been obtained of the Officer, C**T T**t or watever you would like to call him, although he is unable to defend himself at the moment. I find this story hard to believe and at the moment, its pure HEARSAY and would fail to stand up in court due to the facts. Let me make a few enqs in relation to this supose incident, and I will get back on the post, and let you know as to, if it did happen or wether its another tall story...
 
this is just like i said in another post the police are targeting innocent anglers again, and before the police/fisherman (i dont want a big argument over this:) ) on nesa get on my case this might be a true story and if it is it just backs up my thought that MOST but not all police are a total waste of space who shouldn't be doing the job they are doing.

I think Nissan Cars are ****e, but that dnt mean I think the workers are.....
 
unfortunately the policeman was within his rights, it is illegal to take sea water, sand, stones etc from a beach, although this is the first time I have heard of anyone being stopped.

alan he may have been within his rights but how petty is that. i think its a joke. he should of been out catching proper criminals.
 
those people who come on here and throw insults at the police, i would suggest do so because they have at some point fallen foul of the law. that is to say they have, or are closely related to someone who has criminal convictions! personally i think those who do that are c**ts and t**ts and dont have two brain cells to rub together!! you would be the first to shout for a cop if you needed help wouldnt you?? balance re-dressed rant over!!

thats not a nice thing to say

you have to admit there are afew coppers that really do take the job a bit to far
and before you start i am not slagging anyone off

i have never "fallen foul of the law" mate. im am honest harworking family man. i dont have a criminal record and ive never been arrested. and as for calling for help from the police......... last year i was being assaulted at my front door so my wife phoned the police, as we were waiting the phone started ringing and i couldn't believe what i heard next " do you still need the police" i wont repeat what i said down the phone. balance re-dressed rant over!!
 
i would get life for the amount of sea water i have stole over the years, better put it back before i get a knock on the door:D

thats me guilty of thought crime yet again

there's good coppers and bad coppers.

clearly we are all crims in your eyes regardless, and should be carted off to the jokey asap and given a good kicking on the way

to quote judge dredd would perfectly sum up the above

"I don't make the law, I am the law"
 
I take a bit sea watta when I have live peeler but I always put some back when I'm out on the boat. :D
