stuck reducer

SEAn
try standing the butt section upright and spray wd40 onto the joint, let it settle for 5 mins get someone to hold the end of the reducer and you hold the butt section, both of you twist in opposite directions and it should come apart,if it does, dry the spigot of the reducer and coat it with pencil lead,it should`nt stick again

separate it as if it were a pole ideally three people two twisting it in opposite directions with another lightly tapping the joint as it is turned.

YOURS TRULY
Thanks very much mate, thats the way i have always done it from being told by an old man in the early eighties.
CHEERS MATE

Jimmy if it works for you then fine, but trust me there are better ways.
please dont take it personal, i knew sean was coming up sunday and if he had used the wd40 and it didnt work it would have been more difficult for me get the bits unstuck.

sean after your comment in the other thread, squash the reducer as hard as you can in a vice, using a hammer and rock chisel bray the rod but until you braek it awya from the reducer, throw rod away and you will have your reducer, a bit squished but never mind.
