For the first time in a while i feel confident leading up to derby week, Sunderland are woeful, 1 point of out 24! no win this season, supporters at lowest ebb (well the ones I know are), another new manager, squad of unknown players.

According to my mackem mate this morning, Sunderland haven't been able to sell all their tickets , approx 4,000 left:o

Newcaslte have found a bit of form, Remy looks class, cabaye looks settled, krul back to form, nufc to win by 3 goals, it may be a bold prediction, but come on, Sunderland are laughable at the minute, the worst sunderland side in a long time (and there's been some:D) time for a bit of payback!

1-4 newcastle, including a remy brace , hba & cabaye to score

despite their being another anti- ashley protest march before the game there was still 51,000 plus in the ground, that was for a televised non-derby game couldn't imagine not selling out for a derby game! how embarrassing:D
 
Hate predictions mate, they always have a habit of causing embarrassment.

Thing is with this game, our deluded "marras" from down the road treat it as a massive game, to us its points towards safety, to them its the whole season.

Probably happy to be relegated and sneak a win against us.:D

I know, i know, but come on man, i'm never usually this optimistic, usually say i'd take a point , and i know predictions can come back to haunt, but Sunderlands current team make us look like world beaters, (they make accrington stanley look like world beaters to be fair:D!) yesterday was the best ive seen nufc play in a long time, they grafted for 95 minutes, looked like a team for a change. Positive mental attitude, we will take all 3 points, another 3 towards safety and top half finish!
 
I hate the derby days...yes i know best match of the season etc but i just feel stressed from the 1st min to the last meaning i enjoy little of it.

I said in one other thread my heart says 2-0 toon win but the head says 1-1 draw as form counts for nothing in a derby match.

aye, to be honest i wasn't looking forward to the second half, right up to the last kick of the game , just pleased the dutch fella kept his nerve, great save under pressure

But at least it showed the team have some spirit and backbone, not to mention a bit of quality.

It might be the derby but we have just got too much for them, the sensible mackems i know are dreading it, they watch that dross week in week out, they no how poor they are, I'm not saying we should be complacent , we still need to turn up (not like we did the last home derby) but lets be honest they are there for the taking.

Liverpool did us 6-0 the last time, yesterday they were lucky-ish to get a point.

Just announced on Sky Sports News that Sunderland should have at least 2 more seasons in the Premiership . . . . . . . . . . . . winter and spring !!

Still could be worse they are not the worst of team in the English football leagues, 1 other team was docked 20 points and now only have -14, followed by Sunderland on 1 point.


All jokes aside my gutt will still be doing one before kick off, as the toon could very well kick start a good run for Sunderland again with no centre backs that can defend a dam.

every game at the minute is a massive game for us man Gary its just
another game we need points from and I cant see us getting them.

It means that much to you's this game you's get beat and smash the toon up

not looking forward to this one Ive slipped a disc in my back so not had any banter with rednwhite workmates and Iam moving house reckon it will be a draw but my gut tells me our red n white friends will sneak a win so they will have a successful season :D
 
All the black and whites say our season evolves around the Derby just shows how deluded they really are. You all claim your the biggest club and us mackems are obsessed with nufc do we smash up our own town or anyone else's when we get beat ... No we don't let's just see who is quite come Sunday afternoon. 1-0 Sunderland my prediction but could easily be 5-0 newcastle

I may be "full of s*** " in your words, but dont you try to tell me that "MOST" mackem fans are more bothered about beating NUFC than any other result in a season!! Ive seen it with me own eyes man, I wasnt born yesterday.

As for "smashing the toon up" yes mate, well done, because everyone of the 50 odd thousand that go to the games ALWAYS "smashes the toon up" FFS

Just the same as EVERY sad mackem ALWAYS bites the heads off live fish, and puts the video on youtube, while on roker pier.
