Sunderland v Newcastle

Agreed.

However I wasn't using it to score points, I was pointing out just because there are idiots and and "scum" who go around acting the hard man when there is a football match on, that you shouldn't go around giving everyone else that label.

1 person out of the thousands that were either at the game or in town watching punched a horse, now we are a town full of horse punchers?

Taking it to the extreme, yes, but we shouldn't lable everyone from a certain area because of one evil piece of scum should we

I know mate, to be honest I was going to post something similar in reply to that mackems post about the horse puncher being jailed but i thought better of it as it is rather a sensitive subject (and rightly so)

Not really a smart thing to do by the mackem lad (i say mackem lad, don't think he's even into football!, few weeks ago he was commenting on sunderland playing in london, and he didn't know that they had been playing at home!) to point out a newcastle lad is at court for punching a horse, and try to score points over us, when a convicted sunderland paedophile is at the same court in connection to child abuse / murder etc, just asking for trouble but that was Phils decision.

Remy will score on sunday, maybe a late cameo by shola at 2 or 3 1 when they are chasing the game.

3 or 4 -1 to newcastle, 3 points, good day at the match, beginning with a pint in me local at 9am! happy days

It maybe one but how many people smashed the toon up? You were top of the charts for football fans arrested thats not including the fans who get arrested later on after the games

round and round and round we go!!!

I cant answer for the idiots can I?

Ive already said, there is scum in every town, but there were 100 arrests that day, apparently 6 have been locked up. Thugs, idiots etc yes, they are.

But that means there was well over 50,000 that managed to keep out of trouble

I cant make excuses up for the idiots, or the thugs, or the evil bast@@@ of this world, can you? regardless of where they Live

Have a feeling this could be 2008 all over again if it gans tits up for our m8s doon the road

I know you do Garry most geordies do

For me the bench mark is when you go abroad I have never been asked am I from sunderland but most makems are asked are they from Newcastle seen it happen so many times its unreal outside of football know body knows who u are honestly lads I know which I prefer to be world famous city is Newcastle sunderland 2 brown tourist signs and that's it well known place my arse

Ah...the mackems v the geordies
Being a Hartlepool fan its always funny to be neutral in the middle of a geordie vs mackem argument.
Both sets of fans are obviously very passionate and in my opinion...Sunderland and Newcastle have THE BEST fans in the English/Welsh premier league.

I do tend to take the geordie's side in arguments however as the level of utter bull coming from Sunderland fans is usually astonishing. Some of the crap they bring up is hilarious and even if its not plain bollocks the truthful statements are pathetic...the amount of times I have heard my mackem mates arguing with the geordie lads and bring up this result from over 100 years ago (Sunderland 10 - Newcastle 1...something like that)
Every bloody time, sick of hearing about it.

Fact is Newcastle are a bigger club than Sunderland - end of

I think Sunderland fans know this, which is why they go out of there way desperately to make up bollocks or exaggerate and emphasise the little truth that sometimes comes out.
Just this week a lad was going on at the office how Sunderland's 3-0 is equal to Newcastle's 5-1...how do you work that one out??
Read somewhere on this thread Sunderland being a bigger city than Newcastle - what!? - do you ACTUALLY believe this? I have worked in both of these citys and Newcastle is by far bigger.

Anyway I could go on forever with this stuff, I talk more about Sunderland and Newcastle than my own team, nobody wants to talk about 'Pools :D

Despite my slamming of the mackems - hope they win on Sunday, they need the points and want BOTH Newcastle and Sunderland in the top flight.
However as said before on this thread, Sunderland fans wouldnt care if they got relegated, long as the toon are beaten, its all they care about in my experience.

well sunderlands been playing a load of ****e and theyve had it as far as im concerned ,to late for them, but i still wouldnt be suprised if they won the game all the best lads tight lines, but even if they get beat they wont be punching police horses and smashing the town up and being ridiculous;)

EEEEH??? This cummin from a bloke who blew the street up for a tenners
worth of gas pipe.

Wouldnt be surprised if Sunderland won it at all

Then again, wouldnt be surprised if Newcastle won 3-0

Always have to go for a draw with this game, but like said before hope Sunderland sneak a 1-0 win and kick-start their season.

I honestly think that anything less than a win and Sunderland are doomed already - poor squad this season, I had them marked for the drop right away, and even the half decent players are not firing.
Certainly Sunderland's squad nowere near the strength of Newcastle's

Haha, even the monkey hangers ( no offence Hartlepool fans) don't like the mackems! I'm surprised they've even heard of them!

Built a decent relationship with the toon past few years, loan signing, friendlys, player swaps  - been a help to 'pools really struggling financially and could go under if owners pull their support - our club runs at a loss year on year.

Wouldn’t go as far as saying we dont like the mackems, both as bad haha - just the mackems seem to come up with the most ridiculous statements and believe them which gets on me nervs a bit.
Anyway at least if they get relegated it brings the Mackem V 'Pools derby that bit more of a realistic prospect :D

Poor squad this season the mackems, really do think that a lose for them on Sunday means relegation is confirmed this early in the season
