I've mod'd some very busy forums before and some ones that have had a lot of contentious and highly charged debates raging. It's a seriously thankless job and far from an easy one, which is why I stopped doing it even as part of my actual job in the case of one set of forums.
Really, you do your best to keep the peace, keep the forums and the site owners out of potential discredit or legal issues, while trying to keep the members happy with a lively and interesting forum - all on your own time, of your own freewill and in your own time. But despite this you can always guarantee, intented or not, that someone won't be happy about something, blow it out of proportion and start taking personal pot-shots at you or the forum as a whole... which is bloody frustrating after your efforts.
Posting a PM or e-mail is really bad ettiquite, if someone disagree's with a mod, then best course of action is discuss it with them and if still not happy then approach another mod and explain the issues. We're all human, we have off days, we all have times when we're rushed and busy and we're all likely to get p**ssed off if we're taken for granted and slagged off in front of others....
Apart from you and Keith, we've no idea what you'd posted in Wanted, but the basic rules are laid out here:
http://www.nesa.co.uk/forums/wanted/30343-read-here-before-you-post-section.html and if you feel it didn't breach those then really it is upto you to give Keith a valid reason why you think the request should be allowed.
So basically, chill out!
