Thinking about a change of rod

I am thinking about a change of rod, I have a Kompressor S/S and I am finding it hard work to cast with, so I would like a rod that is good for all ground but easy to cast and can achieve good distance without Giving me back ace what would you lot recommend.
:)

Zziplex 50/50 TF

Zziplex 50/50 TF

zziplex 50/50 tf is a great rod for mixed ground,& casts like a dream,m8 of mine as just bought one from summerlands,2 equal sections. Now i want one.

torny match you need to have a good style or his back will be even worse

the clue is in the tourny part of the name :D:D

Trev, no tourny rod will be any good for ya back mate, a tourny rod is basically built for tournament casters, thats full body rotation casting, not neccasarily pendulum, could be OTG but still gotta put ya back into it to bend it, a greys impulse or suprs are nice rods to cast with, have an easy action and cope with clean to mixed ground no probs at all

Reelsport Response, will fish all ground including rough.

agree with that response ( previously the long beach) will fish well in any area, fairly easy to bend, even new from Terry they are not an expensive rod, but well worth the money though.

dont know what rods barney used in his review of the response he said they look and feel like light bass rods lol

think Terry still uses his response for all his sea fishing, and he likes the rough ground

heres barneys summation of the response

Final Thoughts
The Longbeach has proved its worth to me and it is certainly one of the finest rods I have cast and fished with. This is a rod that I can gladly recommend as a true all-rounder. “Superb” is the best word I can use to sum it up.

It retails at £275 and for me it is worth every penny. If you get the opportunity to try the Longbeach then I am sure that you will agree with me.

They have to say that though Jimmy Barny slagged penn rods off when they came out a few years back then had to make an apology in the next issue as penn went mad

you never see a bad review

there are plenty of lads that love them thats where the real reviews come from :):)

everyone i know who has or who had one never say a bad word about them mate, but as you say, thats where the true reviews of a rod come from, response speaks for itself in my opinion.

Maybe Terry will see this thread and offer his opinion on the response

Thanks for all replies, there seems to be a lot of different opinions on rods as i would expect, one mans meat is another mans poison, so I think its a matter of of finding a rod that suites the individual that is going to use the rod.
I am still confused so I have to have a good long think before I make up my mind as to what to do.
Cheers Lads.
