to fish Tynemouth pier you should be in one of the clubs that has permission to fish there on pre arranged dates.

if you go into billys in north shields he runs a club wich fishes tynemouth pier a lot good bunch of lads in the club

you just clime over the gate after 5pm every 1 does a do it all a time

just climb round the barrier like everyone else and if you get a whopper say you caught it in the lower tyne estuary

no just a few spikes sticking out just keep ya nose out the way ya shud be fine mind ya dont slip though when it gets frosty and its easier getting off dropping down the stairs but ya need to have monkey training to hang LOL

i have fished tyne mouth pier of and on for fourty years i have heard storys about people getting gear taking off them and fined but of none of the thousands of people i have met fishing nobody can name one
