decided to fish upgang beach last night some surf running still though i might pick a bass up complete blank not a sniff fresh crab on 1 rod rag on the other nice night for fishing tho

I fish it every year when at Whitby on hols, only catch dabs and flounders though. Is it best in darkness?

from the beach id say yes some get caught during the day but theres some nice plugging areas around sandsend ,upgang,

Thanks Mate, I normally fish just north of the beach huts, just after where there is a cutback in the Prom. Is it Ok there or would you recommend anywhere else ? Its a canny hike from Whitby town mind.

Going try try Sandsend/Upgang tonight 22.30 high tide but only a 4.5
