With the first Amble club match being held at the same time as the Whitley bay open I deceided to take the kids for the match and fish Warkworth Beach. I would have fished the open but they are still a bit to young.
It was slow going with not a lot to show for our efforts. The holes were full of fine weed from the recent seas as well which didn't help but it was a good day out with the kids. The final tally was a flatty each for Neeve and Fin with Neeve's being just undersized and one size for me which I weighed in before returning.
We even had fresh mackeral from the boat session the day before but it didn't help! I think I will try a couple of sessions this week to knock the dust off!
