Wee bit of advice please

Hoping that the weather might relent enough to allow Lynn and I to have a wee shore session tomorrow. Just the one rod between us and looking for somewhere with a chance of catching a flattie, or any fish really!

No major rock climbing or very rough ground that will take all our rigs. We are at Newbiggin. High tide at 3pm. Any recommendations please?

There`s always a chance of a decent flattie from the Wansbeck. If your staying at Sandy Bay it`s a just a short walk through the campsite. It fishes well from low water up. Lugworm and rag both work well but I find it best to tip the worm with a thin sliver of mackerel.
If you fancy travelling a bit further afield there`s always Amble pier. It`s been fishing a bit slow lately but there`s usually a flounder or two to be had. You can fish in relative comfort as well, as there are several benches along the pier where you can set up. There`s also a decent chippy just up the road if you fancy a bite to eat.
Wherever you go I hope you have a great day... Tight lines.

I second that. had 40 plus flatties+coalies in my last session there (in the summer), it goes bonkers from low to high. chance of a bass or sea trout too. nice scenery too so if you blank its not too bad.

Thanks guys, going to try Wansbeck...............if Lynn ever appears from her pit! High tide 3pm, so maybe go out around 1pm. Blyth for rag first I think.
