Well its that time of year again when hot pies are the order of the day.

Thought i\'d post an un-official survey it is as follows;

GREGGS OR BAKERS OVEN - which is your favourite.

Greggs for me.

Sorry this isn`t part of your survey, but the best pies by far come from \"The Wee Butchers Shop\" in Killin, near Crianlariach in Scotland.

Stuffed to the top with tender, juicy steak and tasty gravy.

Absolutely heavenly.

ps I am a pie connesseur.....is that spelled right?

best pork pies come from a small butchers shop on skiton to gargrave road, get em still warm so the aspic runs down yer chin.

have to concur with tony about the butchers in Crianlarich for steak pies - cracking sausage they make as well, the little bakers in acharacle at the end of loch shiel do a canny pie as well, especially if you catch em as they are just out of the oven.

greggs or bakers oven for mass market pies.....I think bakers oven have the edge for quality

Is that the butchers up the little street beside the chantry, or has that closed?

When I was on the railway we used to stop there for our breakfast !(pies, pasties etc)
