Well this will be the first full weekend called off in 2014 for me since i started the season in early April, wet, windy and a NE swell= house work, shopping and the pub

Dam as i will lose my bet that the first mackerel will of been caught on the boat this weekend. Previous years dates from my records, 21st, 24th, 28th of May and 6th, 11th and 14th of June had been the first (not in order of year just date)

Just checked met check that says north easterly then straight easterly Saturday night. Should of known better then question the boat lads on weather lol

From Wedensday onwards i flick between a host of sites and weather bouys and this week the weather has not really changed, its been about the same all week and not on the god site...day for house work and shopping...well full bank holiday tbh

Get it sold quick, your right first weekend called off in 2014 and its all your fault...mind the rough ground must be fished out soon....25+ boats every weekend hitting it and taken boxes away...the spring run must of been turned in to spring fish rolls by now

No more rough ground i think, its time for the not so busy bits when the weather plays ball....

Tried the wrecks last weekend and they still poor, did rough ground the other day and caught 3 times as many. I am not a fan of the rough ground but pointless burning fuel for odd better fish every day.

Soon be jumping once our strippy friends get here
