Wrasse at Whitburn

Set off for Whitburn today with wrasse in mind for the species hunt after a quick trip to get some bait off I went.
Got to the rocks at high tide and decided that the best tacktics to use would be a head hooked rag under a float as the sea was a bit choppy and visibility was a bit low.

After about twenty minutes the float went under and out came a small common blenny.

After taking a quick pic and returning the fish I re-baited and out went the float again, it wasn't long before it was under then out came what I went for a nice Ballan Wrasse for my species hunt.

After catching what I came for I decided to have a few more casts to see if there was anything else about but the only other thing I caught was a little crab.

Decided to head off home to re-fuel ready for tonight's beach fishing session.

Thanks for reading.
