Was out on Friday night for a few hours and caught a wrasse any one know what type it is?gutted av lost me speices hunt card gonna have to sort another one out lol!

Unlucky not having your card with you John. There are plenty of them just down the side at the pier. Float a ragworm a couple of feet from the bottom and you should get one.

Size would suggest a Ballan - it is very rare to get a Corkwing much over 20 - 25cm. And while it is difficult to tell from the picture there doesn't look to be the distinctive black spot by the tail that is the giveaway ID feature of a Corkwing
