Havent read what has been said on Facebook but I coach Becca at fly fishing and she is a fantastic angler and a lovely girl. Her dad supports her all the way but she regularly hauls fish in at Chatton while her dad and me fish either side of her and blank.
Well done Becca....Known the family for years and am so pleased for them. Her dad is a great angler in his own right.
It's not just great for her and her family, it's great that a young lass can win such a prestigious competition...It's fantastic for the sport!
All those moaning should channel their gripes into positives and get out and support the future of angling.
People can be quick to question youngsters catching a loads of fish and as someone has already said the flounders can be close in. No one has any comments about the lad who finished 2nd and has now weighed in 35 flounders at the last 2 amble opens.

Well said. I was patrolling in the dunes with binoculars and went to see the lad catching the fish, he kept catching when I was there and all his fish were alive and kicking in the bucket.
