Best headlamp?

I need a new one. The lighter the better. The brighter the better. Any advice much appreciated.

For the price a dont think you can beat the cree 2000 luminum on ebay for around a 10a buy a different charger though coz the 1 you get with lamp are crap imo

Agree mate.... Cree lamps are cheap and pretty darn bright aswell!

Another vote for the cree, I've got a 1600lm one, good burn time, reliable and as bright as you need.

Agree with Nicky 1600 Cree is the best for brightness and length. 2000 are a little brighter but kills the battery's

Yep agreed with the 2000lm killing the batteries fast, That is why I always take 2 headlamps with me and spare batteries for each

Another vote for the cree, I've got a 1600lm one, good burn time, reliable and as bright as you need.

1800 ml Cree's with 4 battery pack get the thumbs up,but I still use my trusted sl 85 with two nimh battery packs one as spare,20 watt main 6 watt low.

cree 2000 for main usage on low setting , ( bright enough for fishing comfortably) u can go high if u want or need to , cree 300lm and/or petzl zoom as my back up. the petzl zoom is heavy and not cost effective ( square battery cost and duration) when compared to crees , but its there in the box as i already have it, if u go cree u will start to wonder why u didnt have one in the first place especially for what it costs now

Cree head lamps on this rare occasions id agree there spot on for the money. And if it breaks just buy another one ha
