Hello lads just in from the roller coaster trip at Craster today-up and down like i was the big one at Blackpool-ha ha.
Heres an early morning pick of the boat.

Then we set out-the waves were big and i tried to get a picture but water coming over the bow was a problem.( They look ok on pic but trust me it was really bouncy.)

Heres a couple of the lads enjoying the ride. Chut on the right had the pleasure of my vomit flying past for most of the day as we were on the back of the boat-ha ha.

Because i felt ropey i stuck with shads and pulled up the first couple of fish. The bigger cod was the first one caught and was just under 4lb and won me £20. Peter one of our experienced anglers had the biggest bag with 24 Codling. I had 6.

Overall a very good day with a few fish caught and i,m still going up and down as i type.
PS The seasickness did not knock me out i just drank plenty of orange so it tasted nicer on the way back up.
Mick.

Were all them pics taken in January, surely can't be flaming June lol:D. Excellent report Mick and well done in such horrible conditions, just goes to show, you can't beat a bit of ground baiting;)

Well done Mick.

Well done Mick.

Well done Mick for not letting the sickness get you down; You were right when you said that you won't let it beat you. Not to worry mate, you weren't the only one to provide groundbait, the swell obviously took it to the front end where Peter was, I only bagged six cod myself, (2 - 3lbs caught on pink Hokkais and red muppets with rag although I saw a few caught on small black & small white Hokkais. Numerous undersized cod were sent back to develop more for the next time we vist Craster, maybe next month the weather will be kinder and we won't have such a "swell time" Remind me not to be downwind of you though! (ha ha): Well done for the report and well done for winning the sweep.

Let me put this to rest....I never spewed, but I came very close to it, Wipeing Micks spew out of what hair I got left was not pleasant. Enjoyed the day though. Laugh of the day was watching Kev over the side with spew coming outa every hole ha ha ....Peter, the last time someone spewed on me was you in the Hotel at Felexstowe when you claimed youd had a bad pint, I blamed the ladyboy you were talking too..;o

Also like the first Pic.......It took all my strength to act as a humen grappling iron, reminded me of the time I had to storm boats in Somalia whilst on attachment to the SAS.:o

Chut, you're not wrong, I was spewing out of every hole. At one point I had to breathe through my arse. I just feel sorry for poor simon, he looked like steven hawkins without the wheelchair. As for Mick, I never knew someone barfing could sound like the mating call of a walrus. A good day, especially when we landed on terra firma. Whens the next trip :D

Oh one thing, did you get that rag off your bonnet chut? Nope not me but we thought feeding the seagulls may help pass the time until the time I next barfed up

Ah that's what it was, thought it was the skipper trying to prise the wallet out of your pocket :D
