braid

The stuff from Ebay - China has done me OK.
For what it's worth I placed an order one week for some 50lb then 10 days later ordered some 70lb.

The 2nd order duly arrived and a week later I still hadn't received the 1st order.

I let the supplier know and said that I had already got a delivery from an order placed well after theirs. Said I thought this order must be lost in transit.

They said give it another couple of days which I did and got back to them. I said if they didn't refund I'd put an adverse comment on their Ebay profile.

They refunded and the day after I got the braid anyway.
Just to show willing I ordered more from them. Never know. This might also get lost in the post.

Me experience is that the 30lb is well sufficient for clean beach fishing. It's thinner than most 12lb mono and resilient enough to pull clear of the occasional bit of scrap metal in the sea.

Only thing is, please watch your fingers. It hurts like hell when you get them in the way of a fast spinning loop of slack line.

Whiplash give false diameter quotes FACT. Now I'm not saying its not a good braid, just not sure I justifies the price. Legit power pro is brilliant braid but for less then a quarter of the price I'm happy putting up with SLIGHTLY thicker chinese braid. Like I've said I found a good surplier and recently got some 40lb stuff that is .23 or .26mm and I'm happy with it.

i use braid on most of my reels
on a 7000 i have 80lb power pro over rough ground no leader,
also a 535 with 100lb power pro - rough ground with no leader just 80lb rig body & 40lb amnesia snoods with no problems 4 the last 3 seasons, it has a coating on it that i think helps with abraison.
another 7000 with 50lb whiplash on boat,
abu 6500 with 30lb spectra lite beach (flatties & whitties),
7ht with 30lb spectra lite beach.
spinning reels with 20lb & 30lb spider wire.
all does the trick but as said above in other posts power pro is by far the better imo but as said at a cost i have bought more of the spectra braid l8'ly as it has done me well with no problems & much cheaper.
the only other thing i can add is when buying braid make sure it is round braid & not flat, this is bad 4 bedding in2 the spool. i had 50lb flat braid on a boat reel & after a few good hauls of fish it was a nightmare i had 2 pull the braid off the spool 4 every drop so it will give u big problems trying 2 cast it.
