broadband etc

I changed over to sky a few months ago and never looked back, download speed is amazing, kids are over the moon, i now have sky tv (all channels except sport) , broadband and phone all for £60.00 a month.

been away at caravan over the weekend and had a really good look at what was on offer, can get the same package from BT for £58 I am paying £98 at Virgin, will be on the phone tomorrow if they don't drop price right down it will be bye bye Virgin

well phone Virgin today, I asked for a member of the retention team, he said I will see what I can do first, went on about the £6 I paid for my phone calls, not interested in that mate its the £40 difference for the same services with BT, hang on will put you through to the customer services people Hi mate how you doing he says, me says alrite but I am on about the bill I get from you and the difference between BT and Virgin, obviously training says be nice and swarmy to the customer, no good with me mate what you going to do about it, hang on I will have a look, he started checking BT site, don't know what he did but it asked him for id password etc. No they don't do SKY 1 & 2 for £21, o yes they do I says, do you get unlimited calls yes plus international calls. I will see what I can do, brought the bill downb to about£80, no thanks says I, will be in touch when BT is up and running. Went to BT got the services TV progs etc that I want not what comes in big bundles that you have to pay for and you don't watch, bill going to be about £50, might go up a few quid over the 18months contract but nowt like virgin. We shall wait and see.

best way in this situation is to have a weeks overlap on your services. so give ya notice in way with virgin that will be so . just incase openreach has a delay

not on contract with Virgin so as soon as BT up and running will just phone them to cancel services, might give them a call before hand so they can send boxes for the return of their gear or might just wait. But see your point.

well you wouldn't believe it a guy from Virgin phoned tea time, after a bit of a chat he dropped my package from £91 to £56 (£35 drop) a few quid more than BT but would of had one offs with BT, so still with Virgin for another year, see what happens then.

Nice one Alan..

There should be a law against these companies ripping people off.

You think you've got a good deal but they give new customers 1/2 price, so much for loyalty.

Loyalty never pays off with any company now. Insurance,tv,broadband, mortgage, mobile always look around at the end of your contract.

always do with everything else, now my broadband etc has joined the list, as Keith says they probably gave me the deal they give new customers and although the guy said they would loose out, I doubt this very much.
