It wasn't soft it was hard, it was a peeler, but i didn't no till i got home when i checked it out of curiosity. It is also illegal to collect lobsters or crabs from the shoreline without a shellfish permit. Just a heads up as the bailiff was kicking about the day, should he not off checked if it was a peeler?
