Cracking cod. i said the other week you dotn get many big cod now and guess what 4 20lb+ cod in a week from the north east coast.


well done love to get one again that size.

its unreal at the minute,we can't hit the bottom for cod...

well done lads, i was sitting by you for 10-15 mins or so out there before we started heading back in, we were both complaining how we always manage to hook into fish, get them up 5 turns then they dropping off.

i mate you were seem to be putting them back aswell.

i used my homeade pirk wich i'd machined in the garage,so even more of a buzz,he's a pic but painted orange with a maki flapper on .,

Hi lads,started night shift early last night so we could get a 4.30am finish,got down the marina after picking a new lad up(howard)and sorted out for 5.45am,we headed out to the most beutifull looking sea,so straight out for the wrecks, it was 5.5mile out before we had our first drop (nothing) and second drop the day started with cod,maki coalies ling and had never stopped for hours(mostly cod),we used maki on pirks to get past the maki (well somtimes it worked) and then BANG !! I was into somthing good,very good and only to pull up a 20lb cod ,and after only beaten my pb last week and my first ever double with a ling of 10.5 lb i could not believe it,so after a bit we headed out to 8.5 miles out over some more wrecks wich we where picking cod on every drift.Over all we had about 60 cod in total a few ling and a million maki witch we used for bait,howard and col took 10 cod between them and i took the big one for myself,all the rest was returned for another day,The only pics was the big fella as not much else was worth taken with the cod only been 2 to 5 lb ,
