Fished King Edwards Bay again Friday night between 8pm and 1am, sea was relatively flat.
Nothing much to report for the first couple of hours, but around 10.30ish got a huge rod bending bite, I struck a bit late and missed the fish, judging by the way by rod went I guess it must have been a decent sized fish or it hit the bait like a torpedo.
Carried on fishing and caught a 1.5lb flounder about 20 mins later using rag/lug/frozen black on a 3/0 pennel.
Continued getting some big knocks but just could get anything to stick for the next hour, been a little while since I have had bites like that so maybe I was just out of practice or over excited
AT about 12.30 got another flounder around about the 1lb mark.
All in all a good nights fishing for 2 reasons, firstly I didn't Blank
Secondly its good to see there must be some decent sized fish out there which has motivated me to give it another bash tonight
(I'm sure the missus will be thrilled)
