We headed out of Seaham just after 3 this afternoon, with my little lad George in tow for his first proper session out on the boat.
The wind was a bit gusty at times but the water was a lot clearer than Wednesdays trip.
I set George a little spinning rod up first and before me or my dad got set up he had a fish aboard
.
We had a steady flow of fish all evening till we headed in about 7.
Mainly codling around the 3 lb mark some a little smaller and the odd ones a little bigger all putting up a good scrap.
Most were put back, kept a couple destined to be turned into fish fingers said George.
Had a little go on the spinning rod when George was having a rest and was good fun with the little codlings.
The little fella had fun and impressively didn't show any signs of seasickness so happy days
Was good to sea Chris and Deano out there on Sable.
