We headed out of Seaham just after 3 this afternoon, with my little lad George in tow for his first proper session out on the boat.

The wind was a bit gusty at times but the water was a lot clearer than Wednesdays trip.

I set George a little spinning rod up first and before me or my dad got set up he had a fish aboard :D.

We had a steady flow of fish all evening till we headed in about 7.
Mainly codling around the 3 lb mark some a little smaller and the odd ones a little bigger all putting up a good scrap.
Most were put back, kept a couple destined to be turned into fish fingers said George.

Had a little go on the spinning rod when George was having a rest and was good fun with the little codlings.

The little fella had fun and impressively didn't show any signs of seasickness so happy days :)

Was good to sea Chris and Deano out there on Sable.

First tommy tiddler :D

The pics say it all Martin, George looks like he had a day he will always remember, big smiles all round from Codfather, Codfathers Father and Codson..:):)

The bairns smile says it all mate over the moon for him nice to see the young anglers up a coming hopefully many more to come well done mate

Absolutely brilliant Martin...who cares about the grown ups when your son has a grin from ear to ear like that :D

Little known fact (on here at least) is there's a junior Wallsendo brewing...I can't wait to make my own reports like this!

Great thread Martin, the little fella will be sleeping at the front door the night before the next trip so he doesn't get left behind.
