More good old days

Whenever i was on Tynemouth beach i could nearly always find a flounder of some size in the pools left by the tide. The last couple of years when i have been down with the grandbairns i have yet to find one.

Do you remember when you could fish the beach at the back end of the year and feel sandeels squirming about in the sand under your feet?

certainly can great fun trying to get them before they reburried themselves. Had to watch for the weavers though.

Swimming in the school holidays in the pool at Crawleys Point.

Christams or summer made no difference the water was always bloody freezing
