Nesa Charity Support

Oops meant to say before I got distracted lol. We had a canny day today, we will sort you out with the details tomorrow sometime.

Jim.

Thanks David I have added a bit about the day in the RNLI section as we already had a thread about the museum in there:)

LMAO Tony, nice to see you pop in from time to time :D
Thanks for the update Ali and Jim,pleased you had a good day and really nice to see the money raised on NESA going to a worthy cause and keeping it in the local community.
Bit of a sad coincidence that a fishermen was "Missing" from his boat yesterday off Blyth.......................................
Well done to all that contribute to the RNLI and other local rescue services :exclam:

Dear Jim,
Firstly I would like to unreservedly apologise for my post last night.

The post was made with the best of intentions but in the light of day could have been worded better to avoid any misunderstanding.

There was never any intention to suggest that there was anything underhand or done for personal gain, and i am sorry that it appears to read that way.

The reference to cencorship was to do with the suggestion I should have run it by you before posting which I found suprising as the post was only intended to open a debate on the subject, to which your PM was a valid reply. Under those circumstances it is difficult to know what subjects a person is allowed to post on without running it past an admin beforehand.

I would also like to thank you for the loan of the equipment, something I consider to be a generous an unselfish offer that is much appreciated. I will work out some way of returning it at the earliest opportunity.

Its a shame that what in my opinion could have been a good discussion thread has degenerated into a character assasination, but i suppose that is one of the problems of posting threads at 2am.

I hope you can find it within yourself to accept this sincere apology.

regards
Dave

A little bit late in posting this due to problems getting on the site over the last few days, but still as heartfelt now as when first written.

It takes a big man to accept an apology, and an even bigger man to apologise on an open forum, things can so easily be taken out of the well meaning context they were meant by mistake....well done lads!!!!!!...lets move on ..... hope you get well soon jim

Thanks Bob, hopefully I might get a little better than I am at the moment, not holding out too much hope though as spinal problems can be a bit of a bugger mate. I am coming to terms with it now, I know I will never get back to what I was but I am a lot better than before the op as then I could not walk at all.

Dave as far as the gear goes the offer still stands, I wasn't and am still not in a hurry to get it back. Please hang on to it until you decide whether you want to get more into the shore fishing or not. No point in going out and spending a fortune unless you really have to.

Jim.
