Pop Up survey

anybody getting a pop up asking you to take part in a survey when you click on a thread, Whitby Sea Anglers have just had this problem and I have just had it happen on NESA, whatever you do don't click on it you don't know what it is for

Never noticed it, but then again all tracking, ads, pop-ups etc. are banished from my browsers.

Iv`e had it as well ,several times also one telling me I have won an IPAD.

This is happening on a few forums.

If it happens, PLEASE tell me what Google ads are showing at the time and, if possible, grab a screen shot.

Nobody seems to know what is cousing it yet, but it is hitting some big sites

Just got off the phone to someone else with the same problem and they are convinced it's a Google ad. If it happens, please look towards the top-right of the page and at the bottom, where the two Google ad slots are, and let me know what ads are showing. A screen shot would be best.

As is par for course, I haven't had it happen to me (probably due to my anti-virus blocking everything), so can't tackle it yet...

Me too, I've got a pop up blocker running but they still get past it ??????

same here bloody annoying I thought it was my lap top happend when I opened this thread Ive got pop up blocker and anti virus but still getting past it

I've never seen these pop-ups. If it helps build th picture of the cause, I'm using Firefox with Ghostery in running to block adverts and hidden links. It's worth a look if you're having problems.

I'm using Firefox, too, and haven't seen it on any of the forums reporting the same issue.

General consensus is that there is probably a rogue Flash ad in Google that is exploiting something in IE.

Yeah, I've not had anything in Safari or Firefox either - guessing it may be something targeting IE if that's what everyone who's getting it is using.
