Unless you have signed a 60/40 all Red is the same price as you would pay for your car. Royal quays has a pump open 24hrs a day chan 80 to contact them for service, it will be around £1.40ltr unless you have a 60/40 to show or have a commercial license

The good old days..i remember when i first started it was 47p per ltr of red...how it has changed in just a few years err...mind the full or part tax of the red for us boat owners was the biggest killer...good jb its my only hobby :0)

I'm sure it's over the £1 now Dunk even on the 60/40, end of last season was about £1.10p/ltr. .... I still have a bit of a grudge paying half the duty but having dyed red fuel which basically claims I've NOT paid duty.

God knows what i get but i fill up at the end of every trip once April is out the way

As Norman says once the fish start you just hand the card over and pay regardless..only 5-6 months of the year we can do it so go for it

it does have benefits tho, the missus made me get a morrisons points card,
so during the season when i get diesel for the landrover and get 30-40 ltrs of unleaded for the boat .......

it gets the drink in for christmas.....

That will be becase the UK is given Brazil £128 million in aid support every year same as we are given 60 odd million to the Argies that have just about started a war with us again over oil.

wats this 60/40 all about do you have to register your boat or something thanks

Yes you need to register your boat and you pay full tax on 60% of the fuel you buy and reduced or no tax (cant remember what) on the other 40% as you are saying you are only using 60% of your red for the boat engine movements and 40% for running a heater or cooker.

It was introduced about 3 years ago.
