off to ssp to day with the kids just getting back afta a night out neva got to bed till 6.30 so pritty ill but gf wonts to go to bech so a says myt as well take kids to get a cuppel makie who els is out the day ?

just walked along it with the family there was only about 15 fishing a few makki and a few whiting but it was nice and clean not like roker pier lol

the reason its clean iz cos the port guy walks along with a bag and picks up all the mess

the same on tynemouth pier trev ,they emty bins and pick up rubbish after the night shift every day. davy.

To be fair, there are numerous bins along the pier, and MOST anglers use them. I took part in a survey a couple of years ago for Northumbrian water, and one of my sugestions was to have bins dotted along all the popular venues at the Derwent reservoir. "Good idea" I was told at the time. Are there any rubbish bins there yet ? .......NO. Is there litter lying around ...........YES (especially on the south shore !)
And the lesson is............................................!

been along today it stinks of wee thoght all that rain water would of washed all the smell away but on a whole it was cleanish not alot of crap lying around

well nawt for me to day sum man coght a makrell on bait and give me it thanx a lot once agane and my son loved it
