HI ALL
fished st peters today and i found myself taking a back lash for the litter left there by fellow fisherman, he brought the local police with him,and to be fair the place was a disgrace, i fished there for the first time and there was lads from a club ,and there was a lot of litter when they left,
i was speaking to an old guy and i told him that i would pick up the litter when i left.
the angry civie was tell the police he wants double yellow lines on the road to stop us parking there.
It is a great place to fish especally if u have kids or u r disabled (LIKE ME) LOL
lets try and keep the place tidy ,and if u see poeple leaving litter have a quiet word with them.
AND THE WORSE THING THERE IS TWO BINNS ON THAT STRETCH OF RIVER ??

Police called for litter? Never heard of that before.... I fished there last night between the two bins and there was no litter lying around when I left ? Apart from A bit seaweed and one other guy further down. it was busy with anglers (and jews) on wed night when I was down walking dogs but again no mess the morning after?
ive seen foxes in the bins down there a few times could be them too, tho you will always get a few messy sods anywhere you go

i take my grandson there quite often unfortunatly there are a few idiots fishing there the police have been a few times when we have been fishing and explained the situation to us and other anglers the residents might win in the end unless the idiots can be stopped

yes i was fishing on wed night aswell , the right end where the trailers are ,that is private land , and the litter in there was bad, there was two lads from tynemouth club there on wednesday , but that rubbish might of been there b4 the lads fished,
if we all do our bit and if we see anyone leaving litter just have a word ,and hopefully he will calm down
but there is two binns there within 20 meters of where we fish ???
no excuse though.

Unfortunately some folk don't care about anyone else but themselves. If it's club lads then that's even worse than the run of the mill idiot, they should know better IMO. If people keep on supplying ammunition then the inevitable will happen.

I've done a fair bit coarse fishing this summer and the place I go to is free to fish and a canny little place at that. It's always left a tip and I always clear up the crap left by other plonkers, my kids help as well bless them.

I know the lads you mentioned and definetly would not have been them.

If your looking at fishing waste then yes dirty anglers general waste then don't automatically blame people fishing, ive seen the localsdumping rubbish over the side into the river after they've finished gardening and they have bins. Also
if the jews are about then say no more i can remember when Blyth beach down at Stubblies used to be very popular with the jews during the summer and the amount of dirty kids nappies that got left behind after they had been was a disgrace

This is a massive social problem that won't go away it's every where you fish now . I see a lot of so called anglers leaving rubbish all over theirs not a time yet where I have been out fishing where some ******** has left some sort of mess rock marks and piers are the worst JUST PUT IT IN A RUBBISH BAG IN YOUR BOX EASY:mad:

Litter left at arses is a problem where ever idiots go..Its all over the place meaning idiots are a common problem. I recall a minister in Thatchers government saying that our society was plagued with scum breeding scum. How very true.. The pit bulls of our era. Its the scum bags , the thickos and the low life tow rags who are responsible for most of it . CCTV placed at venues to identify the knackers and then give them the max fine and a year of unpaid litter picking may pusuade them to think. As for the Tynemouth lads maybe not being the litters, they left if lying ... great shame.. a good venue under threat by the actions of thicko idiots.

when walking my dog,i always put it in scoop bag,but wouldent pickup someone elses no.2s.cant see why you tynemouth lads should be responcable for litter when probably fishing a club match, its all go as a rule fishing matches.rant over.neefish.

Its personal choice that i will clear litter/line / bottles etc if Ifind it .thankfully ike a lot of the lads ..It wasnt the Tynemouth lads rubbish maybe true but thats no reason to leave it with bins 20 steps away. To my mind its only certain types would happily fish amongst a load of sh** when a couple of minutes clearing up would make a massive difference. . The '' let someone else do it '' lot. The totally selfish, devoid of any public spirit brigade. The unintelligent and ill educated. And heaven knows there are plenty of them who go fishing. Couldnt give a toss about anything or any one but themselves .. In short ,rubbish people the world could do well without

Cheers Mike, there are some on here who have a contemptable, ridiculous and irresponsible attitattitude. Makes you wonder at the type of dumb bell mothers and fathers dragged them up. Evidentlyly no manners or any concept of decency was part of their education. Children follow the example of their parents ...so we know the kind of dumb bells....

i have been told by a good lad that the mess was not the tynemouth lads it was like that when they arrived on the wednesday night ,
club members are very good at looking after fishing spots
its the smack rats that let us down ,
thanks for the tips steve h on friday down at the river

I fished in that match yesterday and I walked the full match length asking everyone to clear up. I checked the litter situation as I left and there wasn't any litter left on the 16 pegs we used for the match. I even saw one of our lads scraping squashed worm off the pavement. There were other anglers down there yesterday so perhaps they left the litter but it certainly wasn't us.
Just thought I'd clarify.

The mention of Tynemouth club pair and rubbish at St Peter's did raise the point it probs wasnt theirs but I did get the impression they just left it. If I have jumped to the wrong conclusion then I'd like to appologise. Good to see the efforts made to clear up after the match though. Carry a plasic bag to put yr rubbish in , tidy as you go , and take it back or bin it on site... easy as.... what is difficult in that...If I lived down at S P with rubbish constantly left by fishermen , id be pestering the council every day 3 times a day to have fishing stopped in the area.. There is absolutely no reason for it to be left....A few a*** holes spoiling it for the good guys

all members of Tynemouth club are well versed in removing there rubbish after a match on Tynemouth pier as the port of tyne rules are very strict and would like to think they practice at other venues, there were a few members fishing st peters on wed night after speaking to a few of them can assure you it was none of them. davy.

on the few times that I've fished there I have had no option other than to take my rubbish with me as the two bins have been over flowing with takeaway wrappers .I think the trouble is that the residents don't want any fishing there full stop, at the other end they put up a no fishing sign which people have been told by the police to ignore as it is not legal
