hi tony was posting on here a while back but never read anything off him for a while hope he is ok has anybody seen him kicking about ta john

he was too busy yesterday pulling in 3 cod, 13 coalfish and 13 whiting for 35lb 10oz from the pier in Tynemouths retired members match

No cod - just Moray eels, trigger fish, snappers and wrasse.
The worms you buy in Hong Kong are about 4feet long but very thin. A bit like a ragworm/lugworm cross. When you buy them they come in newspaper with a razor blade to chop them up.
Most of the people we saw fishing used hand lines and they kept everything that came out from 2inches upwards. Hong Kong harbour is one of the most polluted stretches of waterway in the world but it is teeming with fish. The freshwater lakes contain Arrowana and various species of Carp.
The cleanest waters I have seen were in the Phillipines where the coral reefs are covered with every kind of tropical fish. In some parts however the fishermen use explosives and poison to catch them. Maybe it will catch on here!!!!

It could only happen here couldn't it. This must be the only place where fishermen / pensioners go away for the summer and come back for the winter. Nice to hear from you again Tony.
