...actually YoursTruly, I didn't say fishing cliffs was a waste of time! I fish the cliffs at Ryhope, sometimes in club matches (Ryhope SAC), and do quite well, just won this years champion angler - AGAIN - as I won it last year too - and we have turn outs of between 90 and 110 competing at each club event. Which makes your statement about people knowing nowt rubbish! (But I wont mention being selected for the NFSA England SQUAD on one occasion - so I think I can say I know a little bit about our game!)
What I was saying was it's probably a waste of time fishing that particular mark where you were, as retrieving a fish is touch and go. AND, in another thread I also gave you an apology for being hasty with my answer.
Hope that sorts that out??
Penn525 been doin a little bit of checkin about your england quals, it turns out you fished once for the samf team and not the full england team, correct me if i am wrong (which i am sure you will if i am wrong).

Read the post again mate...I didn't say I made the TEAM... I said England SQUAD......
And actually fished with the SAMF team in Belgium TWICE... Chesil ONCE... Wales TWICE.... so I think that makes FIVE SAMF team selections...

By the way, before all the silly remarks start appearing on this thread, (which by the way, happens often on this forum!), can I just say, there was a remark earlier saying that someone had forgotten more than what the anglers who were posting actually knew - which we all know just isn't true! All I was saying was that I've competed at quite a high level in match fishing, and that actually, if the said person had forgotten more than I knew - then I disagreed...Do you not think that was a fair point to make - or do all that participate on this forum not like anyone to have a point of view but themselves??

Must admit that through all my time with NESA, plus the previous NESA, there was never any one upmanship. Results spoke for themself and those who could helped those who wanted help. I've never fished with anyone famous - who cares. I don't mind anyone asking for help - Hell I included Sless in the book lol. Hope this thread doesn't go from being a discussion about good fish (which I enjoyed) to being a bitching session about "talent"

Stores your dead right about the bitchin and i appologise for makin the thread less interesting.
When someone tries to have a go at you then the knee jerk reaction is to drag yourself down to there level and that is exactly what i have done and feel sad at having to do it, cos i am bigger than that.
I am now going to try and do what i should have done at the beginning of this thread and ignore the cynics because if i had then this would not have been news but chip paper by now (long gone and forgotten about)
I did try and bring an end to the thread shortly after TC came in but some including the cynics did not want to let it drop and i have not helped by chipping in also.
This (i think) is my last post on this thread.
