me n couple mates headed up north Saturday night, arrived at the mark 1hr into flood,we hit the fish straight away,we ended up with 16 codling between 3 of us,15 of them were all between 1lb n half and 2lb,the shot went quiet over hi water but fish came back on 1hr into the ebb, then me mate hooked into a good fish, brung it in and soon as I seen it knew was a good double, handballed it up and it was a 13lb kelpy,2 big bite marks on it off a seal or summit, all fish were returned, main bait was yellas n fresh mussel,i have a pic but doesn't do the fish justice and cant upload anyway cos me phone ****,il send it to 1 of the lads see if he can

cracking session that well done mate unlucky on the big one hope the seal gets the sh**s lol

why unlucky peter?the lad I was with would of returned it no matter the condition of the fish, just a pleasure to catch, took some handballing I say

thanks a lot billy, yeah we just hit it right, love them nights, gets you through all the blanks and the cold wet nights, the thought that they can come on any time

i would of been.gutted if a caught a double with two big chunks missing off a seal thats all mate nice of you to return all the fish

ive got pics mate,no scales at the time so well never know exact weight,a local lad says hes had plenty doubles and picked it up and says easy 13 n half,we thought 12 n half so went in middle, doesnt matter,we weren't in a comp, just bit crack between mates,i sent the pic to alan Charlton,he doesn't want to use it because its just a fish without angler holding it,we tried to get best pic I could but my mate wanted it returned, doesnt look anywhere near 13 on pic but like I say the lad not bothered,13lb is the target to beat in our friendly heaviest fish comp,so me thinks I better pay up, lol

No pic

No pic

You just said you were not in a comp then at end you say you were, no pic or scales no proof your next fish might be 13lbs 2oz so get scales, as for putting it back conservation fishing ?? is your mate Robson Green by any chance. I have a mate who once said he caught a 7pounder made him go to a reliable source to have fish weighed it turned out to be 4lbs 8 oz. Sounds like the chuckle brothers to me.

He says its a little sweep with the lads not a full on comp I know the bloke who caught it and for sure he doesn't get the sizes of his fish wrong I've seen the pic and spoke to the bloke and he was quite adamant it was well over double figure

What is the point of your posts mate? You have just joined and straight away you are attacking seasoned members. Probably best if you just left NESA and joined a site that more suits your attitude!

Try posting a catch report before u comment on others I don't even see ur problem he's never cheated anybody and he returned all the fish caught it was just a pleasure for him to catch regardless off weight and size come spawning time you'd be thankful he's retuned it as it will add to the stocks to keep us all fishing

hes your reply twisty,i wasn't in a competition, just friendly banter between mates,if we wanted to please people like you ,he would of kept fish, got proper pics and weighed and verified, but the fact is,your opinion means jack to any of us,believe, dont believe, please yasel,i handballed it up.,the bloke who caught it has fished for 35yr,caught numerous doubles, and a local lad thought 13 n half, like I said ive got pics just not the best as the lad was in hurry to get fish back safely,i can guarantee 90% of the lads on here woudnt of released it,probs including myself if the fish was cleaner and didn't have bite marks,he wasn't even bothered about me putting a post on here,we fished because we love to fish not to please people like you,if any of the lads on here don't believe my post, dont read anymore and don't comment, lads that know me know I wouldn't be telling porkies or exaggerating fish size in any way,it as just a post for the decent lads on here to enjoy
