whent down to whitley bay at 5.45, real big sea running but there were other guys fishing, so thought i would give it a bash. I am a bit of a noob angler with me shiney xmas prez waders from the old dear and my fix spool real. But i am keen as mustard. First coulple of chucks lead to nothing then at 1 hour of bottom water, rod went crazy and slack, i picked the rod up and realed the slack slow to a big clonk on the line knew it was a good one, my best fish for 8-10 years, 7lb 2oz had to stand on my electric scales and get the missus to pass me the fish lol, like i say a real noob. Also had to get some one to come over and take the 2 fillets off. lolol .. Caught on frozen black, razor and a tip of squid (with parsely from morrisons... noob)
